Fernando I. Andrade is a National and International Mediator/ Peacemaker/ Arbitrator/Negotiator; he was born in Chile, served in the Chilean Navy for 11 years, and moved to the United States in 1990, gaining citizenship in 2005. He has a Master's (M.S.) in International Conflict Management and Peacebuilding from Kennesaw State University and a Bachelor's (B.S.) in Law and Criminal Justice Administration from Morris Brown College. He is registered with the Commission of Georgia Office of Dispute and Resolution (GODR) and formally trained by the USIDHR, MiKK, and ASIME in the Subtraction of Children across the Border by Parents (CBFM).
Fernando was an interpreter in Georgia's judicial system for over two decades. His experience motivated him to become a mediator, a profession he has practiced for over a decade. He also participated as a judge in International Mediation Tournaments Hosted by Brenau University, the International Inter-Collegiate Mediation Tournament (I.I.M.T.), and the International Academy of Dispute and Resolution (I.N.A.D.R.)
Andrade is a proud member of the United Nations Association-USA, the National Association for Community Mediation Centers (N.A.F.C.M.), Mediators Beyond Borders International (M.B.B.I.), The Trust Network, the National Committee for the Department of Peacebuilding (DoP) at Peace Alliance, and the Nebraska Mediation Association (NMA), Former Community Liaison of the Latin Peace Officers of Georgia, Former Chair of Human Relations Commission of Gwinnett County, Former Director of Communication and Education for the Solicitor General of Gwinnett County (2018).
Fernando has provided services internationally and participated in conferences in South America, Central America, and Europe, worked to solve conflict among locals in Panama and promoted peace and conflict resolutions among the mining industry in Chile and the Chilean Navy (Escuela de Grumetes), and Spain participated in conferences about Domestic Violence and Human Trafficking and prevention of Violence, Extremism and De-radicalisation in Poland with INDEED.
Fernando owns and is president of Andrade & Associates (A&A) Peacebuilding and Mediation Consulting Services, a non-law firm.
